G.C. Surana, an entrepreneur from Balrai, Rajasthan, founded Surana Educational Institutions in 1995 with the philosophy "Vidya Dhanam Sarva Dhan Pradhanam" (knowledge is the greatest wealth). He began his journey with the establishment of Micro Labs in 1973, aiming not only for pharmaceutical success but also educational empowerment. His legacy reects a dedication to nurturing potential and promoting social responsibility, with a strong belief in transforming lives through education.

GDA Foundation Objectives
Based in the garden city of Bangalore, Karnataka, the Foundation was established with the goal of creating a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of individuals and communities.
The objectives of the GDA Foundation include:
1. Healthcare and Welfare Initiatives
- Establishing and supporting hospitals, veterinary hospitals, medical dispensaries, and research centers.
- Advancing medical relief and healthcare access, including funding eye surgeries for individuals in need.
- Promoting the welfare of animals and birds through dedicated initiatives.
2. Educational Advancement
- Starting, running, or supporting schools, colleges, and training centers to promote clinical, vocational, and other forms of education.
- Providing scholarships, medals, awards, prizes, and books to deserving students, regardless of caste or creed.
3. Humanitarian Aid
- Extending donations and support to people affected by natural calamities such as floods, cyclones, and earthquakes.
- Constructing shelters and sheds for the welfare of underprivileged communities.
