 Eligibility

A candidate must have secured 50% marks in aggregate and studied Chemistry securing 50 % marks in this subject at the B.Sc. level and studied Mathematics at 10 + 2 or Pre-university level.

Specialisations


Organic Chemistry : The program enriches curriculum in the fields of inorganic, physical, organic, analytical, bioinorganic, biophysical, and medicinal chemistry. Organic Chemistry being the backbone of pharma sciences, there is an unprecedented growth in the formulation of new drugs in the recent past to treat life threatening diseases. A candidate specializing in organic chemistry gains familiarity with synthesis, reaction mechanisms, analytical instrumentation etc. The four semesters course in M.Sc. administers effective understanding of basic concepts and fundamental aspects of different branches of chemistry. Further emphasis is laid on aspects relating to communication, entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills.
